Very clean small campground, only 38 sites but well maintained. You would have to look hard to find any trash laying around, fire pits cleaned after every checkout. Check in was smooth, reservations are recommended during weekends. All sites are back in, no pull throughs. Shade is non-existent so make sure your canopy works as all trees were planted in 2008. We will return here as it is a convenient over nighter for us midway to Canada.

There were many sites that were unlevel, many coaches had blocks under their jacks and some had to raise the wheels off of the ground to level. Makes no sense why the operators would put so much money into this otherwise absolutely beautiful well maintained facility and shortcut on the site leveling. Advertised as cable tv ready (I read plug and play) but you had to use a converter box ($) if you wanted reception. We will stay there again as we left with specific sites to request on our next visit.

At site #189 all hookups were to the far rear of the site so we had to join two hoses for sewer. The electric connection was OK. The water hookup was grouped with two other sites quite a way from my coach so we needed a twenty five and a fifteen foot hose to get hooked up. It is a nice clean campground. There are some seasonal sites but all were well kept. The restrooms were adequate but more shower and water closets would help. It is a very quiet site. We will camp there again for the Ford Nationals at Carlisle.

Overall condition of the "resort" is run down. The restrooms and showers are in dire need of a facelift. Cable hookups are in need of repair and fire ants are everywhere. Traffic noise is at a minimum and sites are close. This place is overpriced for the condition and the name resort is a marketing ploy to get people to make reservations. I won't be staying here again.

Reservations were made, and after office hours arrival was great. The evening site manager was very helpful assisting us with directions to site. Site 900 was adjacent to the highway intersection so road noise was loud; there was a motorcycle bar right at the intersection so the local bikers caused a lot of noise with their bikes well after closing time. Site was nice and large, folks in park were very sociable, and the restrooms were extremely well kept. The only complaint is the racket in the entire section close to the intersection and rec hall area. Won't be staying there again for that reason.

Stayed three days and enjoyed the Festival at the River in Fries. Excellent privately owned campground, well manicured and exceptional service from the owners. One of our favorite getaways as it is a quiet very relaxing atmosphere. Tom and Delieta are great hosts. Will be back soon.

Hurricane Creek and riverfront premium pull through sites are without sewer but free honey wagon services were every other day. Some additional leveling needs to be done on many sites, our site 24p, could manage but right front two inches off ground. Restrooms were adequate and generally kept clean. Take plenty of food as nearest grocery is in Cadiz (7 miles one way). Good stay very quiet at night and some of the most beautiful river views around. Spent 4 nights.

The staff here are very helpful, all grounds were well kept and clean. Sites are somewhat small but well organized. The management has spent a lot of money in this camp since our last visit and the efforts show. New concrete patios and furniture in the premium sites is appreciated. Restrooms and showers are a little outdated but very clean and comfortable. We will stay here again.

Good clean campground, newer pull throughs and creek fronts on the backside be sure to specify these on reservations as ones closer to office and pool are really close together. Nice gravel drives. Kids everywhere but well behaved. We have used this campground many times for extended stays and as just overnighters never had a bad experience.

Great ATV park direct access to Hatfield McCoy trails. If you aren't into ATV's or dirtbikes best to avoid this campground. Vehicles on the move till wee hours.

We took advantage of their buy two nights get the third free. Staff was courteous and very helpful. We chose a patio site and enjoyed the patio especially after the rain. Quiet hours were observed by all and that included the BSA (Boy Scouts of America) troop tent camping nearby. Will make this a future stop when we return to the New Bern area.

Congratulations to the family for providing the type of camping experience we all desire. This immaculately maintained RV park is within 1/2 block of the New River and the New River Trails. This park is one of the finest privately owned, non-franchised parks that we have ever stayed in. The residents of Fries are friendly and the local business owners appreciate your support. The homemade muffins and occasional complimentary breakfasts are a great treat and extremely appreciated.

Great campground in close proximity to Wilmington waterfront. Little pricey for age but what do you expect for a tourist destination.

One of our favorite "in transit" stop overs. Well spaced pull-thru sites and well taken care of. Little close to I-95 with some road noise but inside with the heat on you don't notice it. Restrooms well heated in winter and cooled in summer, you get a real pine forest feeling here. We will continue to visit here while traveling to Florida.
